At Stericycle, we believe in operating with the highest ethical standards as part of our commitment to protect what matters.
As a trusted provider of business-to-business services in highly regulated areas, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and corporate ethics are integral to Stericycle’s culture. At Stericycle, we are guided by a comprehensive set of policies and positions that help clarify expectations for our organisation while demonstrating our commitment to be a responsible corporate citizen.
Our Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) is responsible for managing and mitigating our ethics and compliance risk. Specific activities include maintaining our ethics policies and procedures; delivering awareness and training programs; monitoring and enforcing performance against our standards; supporting our ethics hotline; and conducting investigations where appropriate.
In 2020, Stericycle established Ethics Champions, a network of team members who volunteer to dedicate part of their time to working in partnership with the OEC to support our compliance program. These team members serve as a focus group to OEC on new initiatives, support and drive compliance training, and serve as a local point of contact for ethics questions or concerns.
Our global Statement on Human Rights outlines our commitments to team members, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. We commit to conduct our business in an ethical, respectful and sustainable manner.
Our global Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Statement guides our commitment to safe, environmentally responsible and sustainable operations as we work to safeguard the people and communities we serve.
