Yellow Sharps Bins
For sharps contaminated with medicinal products (Not cytotoxic or cytostatic)
Yellow-stream waste must be sent for incineration at a suitably authorised facility.
Available in 0.5L, 0.6L, 1L, 2.5L, 5L, 11.5L and 22L sizes
Orange Sharps Bins
For sharps not contaminated with medicinal products, for example phlebotomy sharps and blood sample vials.
Orange-stream waste can be sent for disinfection by alternative treatment at a suitably authorised facility.
Available in 0.5L, 0.6L, 1L, 2.5L, 5L, 11.5L and 22L sizes
Purple Sharps Bins
For cytotoxic and cytostatic sharps, e.g. chemotherapy drugs, Depo-Provera, Chloramphenicol.
Available in 0.6L, 1L, 2.5L, 5L, 11.5L and 22L sizes.

Remember...
Do not use for the disposal of free liquids.
Do not use for the disposal of sharps or rigid items likely to puncture the bag.
Clinical waste bags should be filled no more than two thirds full OR to a maximum weight of 8kg, whichever is reached first.
Clinical waste disposal bags should be sealed at the point of production using the swan-neck method.
